Dear All,

Help...

After removing 3 viruses from my laptop, I have noticed that within the I386 folder within my XP Pro OS folders, there are 8 thousand .dll files (yes that's right, 8000!), taking up space of no less than 1Gb system memory

No idea whether the virus / number of files thing is related, but laptop has slowed down considerably in the last few months and this folder has risen!!!

Any suggestions?

Do I use a .dll cleaner program? Do I leave well alone?

My HDD is 40Gb, and am a little concerned that 1% is purely .dll files.

HELP!!
