I am somewhat new with computers...

Some games I've been trying to run are like Far Cry 3 and Metro 2033 have been running slow and getting freezing issues on the higher settings

Here are my specs:
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit
12GB (2 X 2GB, 2 X 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
750GB 7,200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s
Dual 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 7970M - CrossFireX™ Enabled

I ran the videocard stability test and benchmark. The benchmark was just under 100fps and the stability test could not be completed due to freezing being detected and sugessted that I should turn off overclocked which isn't enabled anyway. I have the latest drivers.

Is my GPU no good or is something else wrong? I just kinda expected better for what I payed. Should I call tech support or is this right?
