Hi All

I am trying to set up xampp so I can practice PHP programming. I am getting ready to take a PHP programming class and the book that has been assigned is Beginning PHP5, Apache, MySql Web Development but it is 2005 copyright. I am pretty sure the steps for setting up xampp is for an older version. The one I am using is 1.8.1. I am having trouble figuring out how to setup the correct path so my scripts can find it when I try to run them.

Thanks, Doug

I created a folder in htdocs that I called "test" that I am putting my files in and then I can test them out by http://localhost/htdocs/test/ and the file name that I am working with. Might not be the correct way but it works.

Thanks for the reply. I have been working with it. I am now trying to wrap my head around session cookies. HTML is okay, just struggling with my PHP class.
