Recently, I tried use port forwarding to open some ports so that I can use it for gaming purposes, but, when I do it, the port is still closed for some reason.. Here is the thing though, when I directly connect to my modem, the ports are opened.. What is up with that? I want to use a wireless connection because others in the household use the internet as well..

First, are you running a minecraft server or just want to play on a minecraft server? What router do you have?

I think that this info is accurate:
Name=Minecraft
TCP=25565
Schedule=Always
Ip address=dont put anything
udp=25565
inbond filter=allow all

however, once I know your router, then I can verify the info for certain.
