Save your data then do a clean install of Windows 7 or use the built in Recovery partition to restore the computer to it's factory state.

How you get to the Recovery varies with manufacturers but often it's by pressing F11 or Ctrl+F11 during boot. The users guide for your computer should tell you how to do this.

What is the make and model number?

See here: Restore Dell Inspiron M5040 to factory settings. You can try both of the methods mentioned to see if either works.

I can't find a service manual for your computer and the Users Guide does not have any information on how to restore to factory state, so hopefully the above will help.

If not, you can try creating a a recovery disc from the booted Windows 7. It should be off the Start menu under Dell or Maintenance or something similar.
