Okay, I'm no computer dude, know just enough to get by. I have a PC running windows XP. i recently had a new hard drive put in durning the summer and i do my updates as Microsoft recommends. On the last update about 3 weeks ago I got a message there was a problem with my keyboard and mouse; durning the update and it would repair it. Well, it didn't repair it (it being a Microsoft 1.1 multi media keyboard and mouse). So switched around all the usb plugs to make sure they work, which they do. I plugged in a hardwired mouse which lights up showing power to it, the machine says in the bottom corner new item installed and ready for use but the cursor still doesn't move. Went and bought a new logitech keyboard and mouse with a USB receiver, it doesn't work. The computer shows the time has been installed but it's like it isn't there. i have no keyboard response and the cursor doesn't't move.
Of course I need information off the PC ASAP so any help would be appreciated.
Currently I am using my MacBook Air to get the request for help out.
