Hello:
I have been trying without avail to get some assistance in setting up a new identity with OE 6. I have checked and rechecked that every setting in the properties were correct. I have reset passwords and deleted the identity that would not work. I continually get this message:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.east.cox.net', Server: 'pop.east.cox.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Can anyone help me??

My main identity works fine, I suppose that's good. ha.

Would really appreciate the assistance.

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

First of all, do you have a second email address/password available to you from your ISP or are you trying to setup a seconf identity using the original username/password??

You can't just pick a new username and password.. They have to be assigned by your ISP (unless it's webmail like Hotmail, etc)..
