I can't open setups of any kind! HELP

I can't seem to get any sort of setup open on my computer. It used to work where I would download let's say Slender and I'd have to go through a setup folder (where it would then install the game) before I could play. Now I'm trying to open up a SpotifySetup folder and it wont even open the setup folder. I didn't do anything to my computer to make the folder not open properly, and I've tried deleting and re-installing the setup. I've right clicked on the folder and chose 'open' and still nothing happened. Any tips please?
