I am having trouble with an older Dell Laptop running Windows 2000 Pro;

It has stopped playing backup DVDs that used to play just fine. Uninstall / reinstalling DVD players didn't help, and full(retail) DVDs work just fine. the copies (all 50+) show up as "no disk in drive" even when I try to access the disks with DVD ripper or Nero....

Any Ideas? :tazz:

Yes, all the DVDs work on other computers and players.... even more puzzling they *all* worked on *this* computer! no new hardware or software.... Retail DVDs work fine.
