OK on bmp 2 there was a troubleshoot button. What happens when you click that?
Let me ask does the owner by chance have the original disk for this system?

The troubleshooting goes through a few steps to try fix it, like uninstall and reinstall, detach and reattach the device, is there an updated driver for your device and that's it.

No she doesn't unfortunately. Thats why i asked if you could show me how to make a proper installation disk because people on the net said you can install the driver from there. Don't see ho it'd be any different from installing it from the Intel website though. Do i need to burn an ISO disk?

I don't know where you would even get original installation disk unless you contact Dell directly. If they have the original recovery disks they usually sell them for around 30 dollars. It would include the original OS, programs and all original drivers.

I would suggest contacting Dell and see if possible to purchase a set of recovery disks. If your friend doesn't have them then they are needed for sure.
