I am trying to help a friend recover a folder and subfolders that where on a second hard drive, but formatted using right-click format disk, on windows xp desktop.

I have tried already iCare software, but it doesnt give me the folders and subfolders and also tried Data Recovery Pro from paretologic but again, it finds the folder name only, not the content of it or the subfolders with their respective content. They only contain documents and as well as word, pdf and excel formats.

I will really appreciated any advice on this.

First stop using your hard drive because it can overwrite you files then download any recovery software like “remo recover” to get back data from formatted hard drive . Just try it.
