You will see the true cost of new computers that come with Windows 8 installed when this happens, trying to find a decent spec W7 notebook for less than the same spec notebook with W8 installed is almost impossible at the moment, I like Windows 8 and it was my choice to upgrade but there are many people who feel that Windows 8 is being forced on them and they resent it.

Just ran the computability wizard on this XP machine, can upgrade to 8 pro for $39, save and burn to disc, which I will do.

The download does not appear to be tied directly to the machine on which it is downloaded on.
I wonder if some bright spark will download it 1000 + times and then sell it on eBay later for say $80 a pop.
Illegal?
