hi all, im not sure where to post this so aplolgies if its in the wrong place and please feel free to move it..

i need a bit of help to locate a part for my lappy. i was going to upload a piccy but my phone is being a pleb at the moment ( samsung galaxy ace...dont buy one, theyre crap )

its a plastic clip which is part of the ribbon cable connector on the motherboard where the screen cable plugs in...ive tried looking on the acer site and no joy, the only other option i have is to buy a motherboard from ebay, but theyre 12 quid for a faulty one..12 quid for a plastic clip is a bit much i feel..would any of you splendid fellows ( and lasses ) have any idea where one would be able to purchase said clip or know of anyone who has a motherboard for an aspire 5315 for sale...cheap would be preferable, a scrap broken one will do as just need the clip.

youre assistance is, as always, muchly appreciated

regards
nige

You would probably do better in one of the hardware forums.

As a workaround, you could insert the ribbon cable then use tape to hold it in place. I've done this successfully a few times.
