Firefox/Google Freezes up on back-tabbing

I have had this problem for sometime. When I am browsing and have per se, two or more tabs , when i click backwards to a previous tab, everything stops.

For Firefox, try running with all Add-ons disabled, see if that helps. If so then enable what you want until the problem occurs or you have all enabled you want to use.

I don't use Chrome so not sure what to do there. Perhaps the same thing?
