I have a Dell Dimension 3000. I currently have 1.25 GB of memory with a 1 GB stick & a 256 k stick. Somebody gave me a 1 GB DDR 400MHZ CL3 stick. Is it compatible with my computer? I guess Dell no longer supports my computer because I could not find it under their memory tool. Also, I think, but am not sure my other 1 GB stick is a 333MHZ stick. If the new stick is ok, will it be compatible with the old stick, if it is a 333MHZ ?

Thanks

Go here to Crucial and download and run the System Scanner and it will tell you exactly what is compatible.
