I HAVE RECENTLY REINSTALLED XP ON TO MY COMP. BUT AM HAVING REAL PROBLEMS WITH HOTMAIL. I CAN NO LONGER ACCESS HOTMAIL, NOT ONLY THAT BUT AFYER I HAVE TRIED LOGGING INTO HOTMAIL I CAN NO LONGER USE THE ADDRESS BAR FOR OTHER WEBSITES , THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING I HAVE READ MANY POSTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT NONE SEEM TO WORK PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried this :
In Internet Explorer click Tools then Internet Options
Click the Advanced Tab and scroll to the area labelled HTTP 1.1 settings
Untick Use HTTP 1.1
Tick Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections
Click OK
Close and browser windows you have open and try again.

By the way please don't use capital letters when posting questions, it is considered to be shouting.

that hasn't worked still cannot access hotmail any other suggestions???

You could try reducing your privacy setting to Medium (the default setting is High),
Control Panel > Internet Options , Privacy tab, move the slider down to Medium.

just get firefox.
your IE seems to have been hijacked
