Well, the only thing I would suggest as of now, seeing as we went through everything I could think of, is to go buy a new monitor.

You said that if you hook another one up to it, it works fine. but if you hook your monitor up to another computer, it works fine as well. I dont see how that is possible. So, i would either exchange it with the one you know works, or go buy another one.

Ok...

How comfortable are you with computers? Would you be able to remove your video card and replace it with your dads? Would he let you do that? It might be that you have a bad video card, and would hope that it doesn't go beyond that. But that would be what I would try before going and buying a new one...

Let me know if you can do that, and you need help with it..

i know how to it just that i cant do that wit his vid card sorry
is ther a program out ther to tell if your vid card is going bad just wondern

Ok. well, I dont know what to say then. It is not a software issue, since we went through all of that.

Do you know anyone that might have extra cards? Or you might just have to go buy a new one. If you are going to do that, I would recomend you shop around. Try going to like computer surplus stores and suck.
