I ran aAVG virus scan - cleaned over 16 viruses - ran spybot and adaware - adaware was unable to remove 2 files c:windows/system/mzprint.dll & c:windows/system/dukmaint.dll - I even ran in safe mode with no success. I have spyblaster as well - but i keep getting popups as soon as I open IE - when disconnected from the internet I keep getting a box that opens saying can't connect to the server - work offline or try again. for my hijack log i read to enable anything that is disable in msconfig - it is almost impossible to do this as my computer becomes overtaken by programs opening IE - mydailyhorscope - stcinstaller, vbouncer, wintools and tons more - not sure if i have to have these enable but here is the hijack log with most everything disabled - if i need to enable them all i could try but normally it crashes my system. do i have to enable them to actually get rid of them - is there a way to remove them from the msconfig list??

Thanks so much for help in advance

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware from here (if you already have Ad-Aware installed, make sure that it is the latest version and always go online and update it before you run it).

Download Lavasoft's VX2 Cleaner plug-in here
http://updates.ls-se...lvx2cleaner.exe

How to use Lavasoft's VX2 Cleaner plug-in

- Close Ad-Aware 6 SE and Ad-Watch (if running)
- Download the free VX2 Cleaner at http://updates.ls-se...lvx2cleaner.exe
- Install the VX2 Cleaner
- Start Ad-Aware 6 SE
- Go to "Plug-ins"
- Select the VX2 Cleaner plug-in and click "Run Plugin"
- If your computer isn't infected, click "Close".

If your computer is infected

- Select "Clean system"
- Reboot your computer
- Scan your computer with Ad-Aware
- Remove any VX2 objects detected
- Reboot your computer again
- Run a second scan to make sure the files have been removed from your computer

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

Is there a way to remove listings in MSCONFIG?

Have you disabled them using MSConfig?

If so, enable them, reboot and post a new log so we can remove them. <_<

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

icsdclt.dll - ssdpsrv are legitimate enties. mswspl - is leftover from a hijack, but no longer affecting your system. There are complete removal instructions here:
http://www.sophos.co...rojdloadbb.html

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN <_<

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use).

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.
Link to SpywareBlaster: http://www.geekstogo...tion=show&id=12

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend Firefox.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. :D
