Hi hoping someone can give me some advice.i have recently discovered that i am unable to go to any antivirus pages to download anything , if i go on google and try to get it to take me to the antimalware page, norton ,avg ect google comes back with "oops google cannnot take you to the web page" or internet explorer cannot display the web page.
i had antimalware installed on my laptop and never had a problem with it before but i went to click on the icon the other day and it would not open up for me then a few days ago when i went on to my barclays online banking page as normal a seperate window came up asking for all my details , passwords , mothers maiden name ,account numbers ect which i didnt fill in cos i didnt like the look of it . i rang the bank and they said they would put a block on my online banking and said i probley have a virus on my computer.
question is how do get a new antivirus on my laptop if google or any other page wont take me to these pages in the first place? i can go on any other page as long as it isnt malware, avg ect

Hi there lets see if we can get you fixed

Download OTL to your Desktop
Secondary link
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

    Posted Image
  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

    netsvcs
    BASESERVICES
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    services.*
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    winsock.*
    /md5stop
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs

THEN

Download aswMBR.exe ( 4.5mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it Click the "Scan" button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply

Can you use another computer and download the following to a USB drive and then run it from there on the sick computer

But see if you can download this OTL first
[attachment=63065:OTL.zip]
If you can unzip to your desktop and run

  • Download RogueKiller and save it on your desktop.

NOTE: If using IE8 or better Smartscreen Filter will need to be disabled
  • Quit all programs
  • Start RogueKiller.exe.
  • Wait until Prescan has finished ...
  • Click on Scan

  • Wait for the end of the scan.
  • The report has been created on the desktop.
  • Click on the Delete button.

  • Next click on the ShortcutsFix
