Hello all,

This is my first time posting in the forums, so sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything! Anyways, for some reason my laptop's wireless internet connection is really slow compared to my brother's laptop, in which we are generally in the same area so it can't be that the signals are disrupted. Using speedtest.net, I get approximately 24 down, while my brother gets 35 down. I am using an HP Pavillion g6 Notebook (model HP B4U20UA#ABAG6-1D98DX). I doubt I have any viruses, all software is up to date, 3 tabs are open, and the only programs I am running are a music player (foobar2000), Gtalk, and Avast! Antivirus. I have also used TCPOptimizer, but it hasn't proved to be useful. If anyone could help me with some tips, tweaks, or help I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi, thank you for the fast reply and welcoming!

Results attached.

Also, I just used Internet Explorer to test my internet speed and I got 29.55 down! So it seems that there may be a problem with my Google Chrome. Also, I used to get an average of around 11 ping, via speedtest, net, around a year ago, but now I get an average of 28. I have not modified or changed my internet plans either.
