I have dine some research online and alot of people say its the hdd itself or that it needs to be replaced, but when i goto the BIOS i do see the hdd and the storage amount next to it, which posibly means it is functional, btw the error also says to "check cable connection".... Please help me since this the only question that literally has no answer at all from any professional online, your help is greatly appreciated thanks.

The hard drive is dead Hyacynth.

It may indeed show in the bios but this could be because it is physically connected only.

The boot option is searching for the hard drive or any boot files for that matter and finds only the Network boot which obviously you don't have.

Replace the hard drive.

I have already biught a new hdd but was wondering if the old hdd is repairble( physically), cause i dont wanna lose my best hard drive. The new hdd laggs my games for some reason even though i have msi gt60 One specs, i Do own a msi gt60. But it just doesnt make sense, how can a hdd ruin my whole fps?

In theory your machine should be able to make toast so my question would be that when you reinstalled Windows 7 it should have installed most of the hardware drivers but have you actually been to Nvidia to see if there are any updates for the GPU?

Well that i didnt do 'cause i installed all the drivers from the cd that came with the pc! I havent checked the official site but i dont see any updates in the windows update program, also my windows 7 isnt activated fully yet im waiting for windows to send me the key!

What does it say on the disk that you used to install Windows 7?

I never had a disk , they never shiped it, only 1 cd with only drivers on it( all drivers for the hardware including nvidia, i have nvidia control panel as well) i installed windows using a bootable flash drive! And asked microsoft to send me a key, turns out they said the key should be under my battery, im not home atm, but ill make sure with them, thanks for responding.

It's a pity that you never made any back to factory recovery disks when the original hard drive was functioning.

You see what you have to bear in mind is that the driver disk that came with the machine is only as good as when it was first made and the drivers for various aspects may have been updated since that time and this is why I suggested going to Nvidia to check for any updated drivers.

A separate issue now, can you please provide a screen shot of Disk Management so that I can ascertain if the back to factory recovery partition is still showing and has not been wiped when you re-installed 7.

Firstly thanks alot, seriously, i had a great experience getting help, secondly the problem is now fixed, i put the key in and it updated within 5 mins and now the problem is solved, once again thnx for helping

Edit: before upgrading windows 7 i also made an update to some framework program/whatever it is, windows updated that and some security updatesprior upgrading my windows itself, dont know if that matters or not but im happy the problem is now solved!

The program that you speak of is Microsoft .Net Framework and you should have the latest version which is 4.
