How to Bypass Login Password?

One of my sisters lent me a computer
It has Windows Vista Home Premium.
She gave me what she swears is the Login Password. But, that Password comes up as incorrect. I've tried various variations of that Password with Uppercase and Lowercase, Etc. to no avail.

Is there a SAFE way to bypass the Login Password?
I do NOT have one of those Password Reset Disks that I read about, so that is NOT an option.

Is that Windows Password Key Standard that I read about ... legit and safe?
