Right so here goes. I am currently running a new media centre PC. I downloaded Mozilla almost instantaneously after setting up, then Spybot S&D. After that I upgraded my Norton basic to McAffee. After McAffee came Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta. So I thought 'right my computer is now a brickhouse - I can use freely' But to my dismay, I began Mozilla and instantly had a pop up - Aurora. After that I got lots of other McAffee alerts about something called thnall1ac.exe or something similar. I deleted all files I could find with these names but alas I still receive pop ups. Microsoft Anti Spyware detected them and offers to remove - a process which I have deemed to be useless - because Aurora still runs :tazz:. So I need advice on what to do - please.

On a further note, I was wondering which virus scanner is recommended - I use McAffee, but know Kaspersky to be better - just it runs very slowly. Please advise me on the best anti virus software.

Thanks!

EDIT: Just read the notes about getting Hijackthis beforehand - and cannot be done as all my downloads get a virus added to them ;)
