I'm fed up with the free stuff, I want my own server to host my forum. Is there anyway I could possibly make my PC into a server? What software would I need? I think I would need to make it into and HTTP server.

The little computers that were used at banks, the Unisys/HP Small PC 20, has a 333 mhz processor, the Pentium Pro, can hold 256mb of readily available memory, and can be bought quite cheaply as surplus. And they use less than 100 watts.
