:tazz: After re installing Windows ME with Dell Assistance, I am now TRYING to re install QBPRO 2001. When i try to do restore, it seems to be doing it; then I receive the message that restore did not take place because I am using a newer version. I am not. The program discs are the only ones I own or have ever owned. Before coming here,I have exhausted every avenue with QuickBooks and our accountant. I was hopeful when I got the suggestion that I try obtaining updates and then do the restore since I had automatic updates on the backed up material. No go- it won't even list any updates for me to get. Does anyone know any way I can fool this thing or is there a backdoor way to do a backup into the newly installed program??? I have a client whose work is really piling up.
I HOPE THIS IS THE PROPER SECTION FOR THIS QUESTION.
And I didn't use all caps.
