Ok if i try to install Linux on a seperate harddrive would i need to format my master hard drive in order to do so?

where can i learn the basics of linus programming? what particular site do i have to browse? kindly give me some feedbacks. thank you very much!

there is no need to format primary hard disk to install linux

and to learn linux programming try GOOGLE first .. searching resources will share as i find :tazz:
