Anyone have recommendations for budget PC speakers? music, games, youtube, etc. I would like to stay under $50-$60 if possible. Nothing fancy. Went super cheap as an experiment yesterday and am currently testing out a 16W Gigaware set (40-287) but am not happy with it- treble gives me a headache!!

thanks!

I kind of like the idea of having a sub woofer, but for the price area I'm in- a good set of stereo's might be the way to go. Hadn't seen these. Thanks for the link!

You're welcome mate but if you want some seriously good sound there is only one way to go and that is to get a budget amp and a set of passive speakers.

The latter route beats active speakers hands down.

Well what can you pay because once we go down this road things become rather more expensive.

If you can only afford products in the $50 - $60 range then forget all about it

yeah.. I think that's my budget for now. I have a nice home theater set-up and when I want to listen for anything for an extended period of time, I pipe it over to that... so this is mainly just for games and youtube.. nothing major.

Have you personally heard those sonys?

just curious :)

Personally I don't like anything to do with Sony and I have not heard what they sound like Matt.

The choice is yours at the end of the day mate. :)
