Hi all,

I want to apologize if this topic was resolved before, but I could not find the thread. A few days ago my computer (Dell 2330) starting getting limited internet connectivity. This is the only computer with the problem all of my other computers are working fine.

The computer seems to access my home network (both wired and wireless) but can not access the internet. The problem began after a McAfee message pooped up saying that the firewall was turned off. I could not turn on McAfee firewall or Window firewall (if I try to manually turn on the windows firewall I get a 0x8007042c error code). I have removed McAfee using the Windows uninstaller.

When I look at the Network Connection Details is see the following

Connection-specific DNS is blank
DHCP Enabled: No (I check it appears to be enabled and I have the same results of limited connectivity if I assign an IP)
Autoconfigure IPv4 169.254.9.150 (this is not the correct IP address it should be 192.168.2.1)
IPv4 default gateway: 255.255.0.0 it should be 255.255.255.0
IPv4 DHCP server:Blank
IPv4 DNS server: Blank

I would be happy to provide any additional information.

Thanks
