Is there any online storage company whose software can create encrypted zip files onto external local drives like Allway Sync can? All the ones I've tried now create some form of proprietary format on the external drives. Or is there a way to use Allway Sync to transfer files to some form of cloud backup? I really want to be able to create a flash drive and external hard drive for my wife's business that is in the encrypted zip format, but it would be nice if I could get a one stop shop program to do both things. Or am I stuck just using say Allway Sync and CrashPlan?

well Dropbox could work the way you want it to, but you would also need to run something like true crypt to encrypt the files.

I think an excellent resouce for you would be

Steve and leo review cloud storage services. I know that Steve still uses Jungle Disk. I also know several people who use crash plan and true crypt together.
