I have had this problem before which I resolved by removing and reseating the video card but this time no go. The computer appears to be booting - a single beep and hard drive light, etc. comes on. The video card is an ATI 4670. I have to try to dig out a vga adapter to test onboard video. Any other suggestions?

As you are getting a single beep which depending on the length of the beep would normally suggest that the computer has booted up successfully I would suggest that you check the condition of the video cable, ensured it is connected securely at both ends (finger tighten only) and finally try another screen in case the problem is with the monitor itself.
