Image paste issues

I'm using office 2007 and whenever I copy and paste an image( in Word or PowerPoint), it will paste the image. When i go to copy and paste the next image, it will paste the first image. Clearing the clip board makes no difference. The only thing that works is closing the document and then restarting it to paste the next image. This get really annoying when i need to create a presentation. Any advice? ty
