Hi, Hope I am in the right place. I have Vista on a Dell Inspiron Laptop. Every time an update from Windows is available all updates are downloaded and installed, EXCEPT Windows Live Essentials. I get the message " Couldn't install Programs. You already have different build flavor of Windows Live.
Error 0x80280008. This bugs me because then I constantly get a reminder to update WLE. I saw a message telling me to uninstall WLE and download a newer version. Is that easy to do? And do I Need Windows Live? I use ESET and Malwarebytes and Spyware Blaster for security.

Thanks in advance

I believe Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials, so if you use that then yes, you need it. If not then uninstall it and see what happens. If no problems then leave it off. If it turns out you do need it, download and install it.
