Outlook kept asking for my password and ignoring my correct answer. It was unusable. I deleted my account and reconfigured it and now it does connect. The problem now is it attempts to download hundreds of emails - takes quite awhile - nothing downloads at all - it then starts over downloading those same emails again - still nothing. The cycle just keeps repeating. I am using Outlook 2007 on Windows 7. Please help.

Hey! I was wondering what email you are using in the email client. For example gmail, yahoo, etc. Also in the advance setting do you know how often the application times out on the server? Because if its trying to download hundreds of emails the server will time you out and then try it all over again. Also is there any way you can delete some of the emails you dont really need and see if that will help? I helped a lady once and it was doing the same exact thing and I had her clean out her email. Boom all the test emails were coming through and a lot faster as well.
