Chrome successfully uninstalled
FixLog attached
As you can see in the fixlog:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
Something that may be still in the system: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google
Follow the above path and delete Google folder if it's there.
Now, to ensure that everything is clean...
ESET Online Scan
Download ESET Online Scanner and save it to your desktop.
OK.
Two executable files in your Dowloads folder were deleted. Be careful what you download and from where.
I'll need fresh FRST logs now.
How is the computer running now? Still the same?
Computer seems to be running better today
Logs attached
Very good!
1. Remove a McAfee remnant
There is a McAfee entry we missed. So here is another FRST fix:
Start:: 2024-02-11 13:24 - 2021-07-04 17:36 - 000000000 ____D C:\Windows\system32\Tasks\McAfee End::
2. Re-install Chrome
Now it's the time to re-install Chrome if you like. To do this:
3. FRST log
Run FRST once more and attach for me the FRST log. I don't need Addition this time.
In your next reply please post:
Chrome reinstalled fine
Computer appears to be fine right now. Thanks so much.

Glad to hear this. Everything looks back to normal in the logs too.
I'll leave the topic open for today and tomorrow, so you can work with the computer and let me know if everything remains fine. After that, I'll give you instructions to remove the tools we used.
