Mostly while using internet, my screen will start to pixel-late and black in and out and freeze.
Then a pop-up will appear stating, "Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and had recovered".

I have a Dell Inspiron M5010 with Windows Premium Home 7.
I checked for updates for the device driver through my PC Properties under Hardware but could not find any.
System device: AMD PCI Express (3GIO) Filter Driver
Processors: AMD Phenom™ II N850 Triple-Core Processor

Thank you for any help!

Hi KHoohuli :welcome:

Can you check the Device Manager to see the exact name of your AMD graphic card?

Knowing the exact model you should go to the AMD site and download the most updated driver for your card.

See if this helps.

Hi,

- How long do you have the laptop?
- Do you feel that the machine is hotter than before?
- The problem occurs when surfing the net or when you are playing games?

This is happening on my Dell M5010
AMD P320
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

I have reinstalled Windows twice now with the same problem coming back.

I have ran the system check in the bios a few times with no errors.

I tried reseating and repositioning the RAM.

I tried rolling back Windows updates.

I have had the laptop over two years with no problems except for the battery indicating it is failing lately.

At this moment, I have the battery out and the computer is okay. I will continue without battery and see if the problem returns.
