Hi guys. New this so I hope someone can help before I lodge my fist through my laptop. I’m unable to download any files onto my computer (running Vista). I think this started when I downloaded windows updates in Dec/Jan. no matter what I use it will say it has a virus and delete it. Works perfectly except for this issue!

I’ve tried everything including the steps in http://www.geekstogo...t-run-tutorial/

I downloaded the following onto a USB and ran them on the laptop (can’t download anything directly):
Rkill.com, rkill.exe, uSeRiNiT.exe, WiNIOgOn.exe, rkill.scr, exeHelper.scr, exeHelper.com MBam, and SAS .
Can’t run MBam
OTL won’t run. For OTL.exe I get “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application.”

SCUDownloader found 7 issues with “speed and stability” and want to charge me $32 to fix which I can’t afford.

Not sure where I can go from here but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. SOK
