(First time poster)so i'm not sure where this pot would go. So please excuse me.

But I need help with 2 things: Our dell computer stopped working. Just out of the blue. It was running slow the day before after my grandmother did that disk cleaning (she does it all the time, but its never made the computer stop working. So afterits finished cleaning I was o it for 2 seconds then shut it down fora few hours, then when I tried to get bck on it thtevening it just kept retarting :( (its been through a lot anyway)

SOO since that computer is not working anymore I pulled out our old windows computer, now, I have been trying to install the windows installation, but I can't because the CD driveint even making that noise like its loading the disk..

In the instructions it says "step 1: Please choose your CD/DVD drive as the first boot device in BIOS or during start up."

Then for step 2 it just tells me to put the CD in the drive ad reboot..I do that but again, nothing. I can't use the computer with out installing this disk :(

PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you:)

Well, it's a DVD drive then. Had it asked you to hit a key to boot from DVD?
