Hello everyone! First off, thanks for all the help you do!

Problem: Every time I turn on the computer and go on the Internet, about less than a minute the computer briefly freezes, I get a message on the bottom right of the computer that says "Display Drive stopped working" and says that the AMD Drive (?) had to be restarted.

After this, when I watch a YouTube video or go on a different site, all of a sudden I get a blue screen. Attached is my OTL Log. Thanks!

Hello Krueg9651 and sorry for the wait. Let's take a look, if you still need assistance.

The system is Windows 7, so when running any of the scan files we use, be sure to right click the file, then select "Run as administrator" to start the scan/tool.

And To make sure you have an accurate view of files there, make sure you can View Hidden Files. Also uncheck "Hide Extensions for Known File Types"

To keep them from interfering with the repairs, be sure to temporarily disable all antivirus/anti-spyware softwares while these steps are being completed. This can usually be done through right clicking the software's Taskbar icons, or accessing each software through Start - Programs. Here are some antivirus disable tips if needed.

-------

Download HijackThis from Here. Then click on the downloaded file, and install HijackThis.

In HijackThis, click Config - Misc Tools - Open Uninstall Manager.

Click on Save List, then save that to a location you can locate again (such as the desktop). Copy/paste the contents of that back here please.

-------

Download RogueKiller from here to your desktop.

Close all open programs
Remember to right click -> run as administrator, and click the downloaded file.
Wen RogueKiller finises it's opening scan, press the Scan button..
A RKreport.txt will be created in the same location as the RogueKiller file.
If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe, and try again.

Please post the contents of the RKreport.txt.

Some adware and search hijackers so far, and nothing of significance referencing AMD.

Go to Start - Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features/Uninstall, then click on each of the following programs, if they show there, and click "Uninstall/Change".

Bing Bar - Search hijacker - usually useless.
I Want This - Adware, spyware, search hijacker.
McAfee Security Scan Plus - Usually delivered with an update. Scans only, so, again, useless.

-----------

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Search.
  • A logfile will automatically open after the scan has finished.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt as well.

-------

Navigate (right click Computer, left click Open/Explore) to the following folder:

c:\windows\minidump

And if one is there, locate in it any recent minidump(date-somenumber).dmp files created, where "date-somenumber" matches dates of any recent crashes there. If they exist, then just zip a copy of it, and send it to jintan AT malwarecrypt.com as an attachment. Please place "Submitted Files - Krueg9651/g2g/dmp" as the email Subject.

I made sure to remove Utorrent (Uninstalled) after your post. Below is the AdwCleaner log. However, when I tried to zip "Minidump" folder, I get a message that pops up saying "File not found or no read permission."

Go ahead and just email the minidump file(s) as is. Include extra attachments if necessary.

Be sure to continue to temporarily disable any protective software when running the scan tools we use here.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Delete.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Open AdwCleaner, and click the Uninstall button to have it remove itself.

I'm having a real hard time trying to send you the dmp files. Windows isn't letting me even do it individually. Every time I try to attach a bmp file from the folder, I get a pop-up message that says "You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission."

I received the files, thanks. I don't have a dump analyzer on the system I am on right now, but will be able to check them in more detail tomorrow.

I notice in the dump files regular reference to functions of Dell KM632 Wireless Keyboard Caps Lock Indicator. Unusual that dump files strings would present the functions the way they did. I would like to suggest you uninstall that software, to eliminate it as the culprit. But I am not really sure what it does.

Right click Computer, left click Manage.

In that menu click Device Manager. Click the + symbol next to Display adapters.

In that list locate and double-click the listing for your graphics device. Click the Details tab, use the dropdown box to change the view to Hardware Ids, then write down what shows in the top listing there for PCI\VEN-XXXX&DEV_XXXX (the X's you will need to replace with whatever letters/numbers show there).

Post that back here please.
