My monitor screen flickers and shrunk automatically to half of it's size. It's squezzed inwards vertically. I tried changing the resolution and adjusting the monitor size but everything in vain. I then re-installed the display drivers but still nothing. I tried restarting my computer in the safe mode but the screen size remains the same. In the beginning, the screen would come back to it's normal size after a restart but now it remains shrunk. A friend of mine told me that it is due to Microsft service Pack 2. Pls help and let me know how it could be changed. If a new video card has to be installed, which one should I install, can it be anyone or something that is specific to my computer configuration. Thanks in advance, this is annoying.

Are you using a NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go video adapter ?

If so, this article might be helpful:

I am so sorry but I am not sure which vidoe adapter I am using. As per my understanding it is ATI Radeon 7500 series (shouws up under display adapters as well). I could be wrong though. Pls point out as to how I can find out which video adapter I am using. thanks in advance.
