I can no longer open the VLC player. Every time I want to hear my favourite radio station from Argentina

http://radios.argent...x4/playlist.asx

the VLC will open but it will not play!

I get this same error message each time...

La lecture du fichier a échoué :
VLC n'a pas pu ouvrir le fichier « C:\DOCUME~1\MARIEM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\plugtmp\PLUGIN~1.ASX ». (%m)

There seems to be a problem with a plugin, something to do with ASX. I don't know.

This started after I upgraded to a new version of Firefox as per the software request.
It never happened before. A real bugger.

I downloaded the latest version of Videolan VLC with the firefox plugin VLC Web plugin 2.0 2.0
but it did not change anything. There is no improvement. I still get the error messages and the station won't play.

My operating system is Windows XP Pro SP3 (I believe it is SP3 and not SP2)
The Firefox version I am using is Firefox 20.0.1

I never had this problem before I installed this version of Firefox.

I am not sure why this is happening. Maybe somebody can help.

Thank you very much in advance.

I kept working on this problem.

Somehow I solved it.

I helped myself with this:
