Hi everyone,

not sure if this is the right place to post this..

i have lots of music (itunes) on my old laptop that i need to move to the new one. Problem is, old laptop is acting up all of a sudden. It will boot up, then after a minute or it shuts down on its own. If i boot it up in safe mode i don't have internet connection and it won't recognize an usb stick, so that won't work either.. what can i do? please help!!

Buy a USB Universal Drive Adapter, like any of these: TigerDirect.com

Remove the drive from the old Laptop and use the USB adapter to connect it to a USB port on the new Laptop. It should be detected, mounted and a driver letter assigned to it. Then you can use My COmputer to copy anything you want from to the new Laptop.

I use them all the time, great gadget.

Edit:
The one I'm currently using is this: USB 3.0 Universal Drive Adapter
