DVD-ROM will not work.

Whenever i put any DVD-ROMS, or any type of DVD's, my computer will say "Please insert a disk into drive F" Drive F is my DVD drive, can anyone help please?

HL-DT-ST DVD-Rom GDR8162B

I went to the device manager, and there was nothing wrong there. Help please!

Oh, and im posting from London, my internet type is DSL...

first step

Right click MY COMPUTER, choose PROPERTIES, choose HARDWARE, choose DEVICE MANAGER

remove the dvd rom and let windows reinstall the driver

Thank you very much Gerryf, i tried doing exactly what you told me to do, step by step. I managed to uninstall it, then Windows re-installed it. But it still wont work. :tazz:
