Hello, This might seem a trivial complaint, but I seem to have lost my Internet connection icon, it has disappeared from the taskbar notification area, (the two screens and the blue circle), my connection still works but I like to have the connection symbol there. If I right click on the Windows button then right click and choose properties on the notification tab, under select which icons to always show, only the clock is selected, with 'volume, network and power selections grayed out', can anyone help me to get my broadband connection icon back?

Thanks.

Your clock and things like the speaker icon etc are in what is called the System Tray not the Taskbar.

If you are running Windows 7 you should see a small upwards pointing arrow which when clicked will reveal a box that shows all the things that can be added to the system tray.

Simply drag your internet icon from that to the tray.

Thanks Wolfymole, I'm running Vista Premium, I don't think I explained the problem too well, but anyway I sorted it out with a system restore.
Thanks again.
