Hi Essexboy,

The computer still runs slow, it must be a corrupted windows file or something. The pc goes to the bios screen twice on bootup. I believe one of the parents installed something on here fora different operating system and might have corrupted windows in some way.

Lets see then

Open an elevated command prompt

Go Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right click command prompt and select run as administrator
In the black box type the following and press enter :

sfc /scannow

Once this has completed reboot and let me know if the behaviour improves
