i have a toshiba satellite and nikon coolpex that i cannot get the pics to transfer, have looked for scanner and camera wizard cannot find,have view nx2 on the machine also camera control pro 2 that tells me "no camera detected" where do i get a program to do this

Hello

You can try Toshiba web site for that software.If you have the disk re-install the software again.. If this camera has a SD card just use that in your SD slot,if you don't have one you can buy a USB SD card adapter for 6 bucks,this download/transfer is faster anyway...

back again, why is this difficult when windows has the transfer program only in my case it doesnt seem to because win does not see my camera once pluged in

thank you for your interest, i have tried everything i can think of. it will be so nice to have the full use of my 1st digital. i am by nature a 35mm photographer owning over 100 of them and starting back close 70 years old with a pin hole 3 bowls in a closet and a cigar box for a contact printer

Apparently your camera can utilise an approved SD card which are listed here.

Researching a fix for you i found this suggestion thru Nikon... http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/

Run the program and see if this fixes the non-detection issue..

no i wish it did, but still there does not look to have the scanner & camera wizard in windows 7 in my laptop. at this point i do not think anything will help until i have the wizard other computer that is what transfers pics to the machine
