Hi,

I have Vista and have recently installed Avast not sure which version (got it free from CNET DOWNLOAD) and suddenly my laptop stopped booting up. It shows blue screen when attempted to boot up.

Initially I tried to restore to previous point - couple of times but the recovery did not work as was facing blue screen again.

Now facing blue screen if I attempt to start windows normally.

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt

The above 3 options all run down the list of drivers that its loading but get "Stuck" on aswrvrt.sys where it stays for 30-40 seconds.

Please help me.

Thank you so much.
