Hi,

I have been running into a problem with a hidden web page or something embedded that is constantly running commercials and other ads while I am surfing the web. I have run AVAST, Norton, and Malware bites on numerous occasions and have found a few different things, but even when I have had them quarantined or removed, the commercials in the background do not stop. This has been going on for about a week now and I don't know what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi there first lets have a quick look see

Download OTL to your Desktop

  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

    netsvcs
    BASESERVICES
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    services.*
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    /md5stop
    dir "%systemdrive%\*" /S /A:L /C
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs

THEN

Download aswMBR.exe ( 4.5mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it Click the "Scan" button to start scan
