Having an issue with USB devices not being recognized when connected. So far, I have tried thumb drives, tablet, and phone. No connections initiate when these devices are plugged in. The drivers for the USB ports are dated 2001, could this be the issue? I attempted to update the drivers from the device manager but nothing was found.

Microsoft XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2 (tried updating to SP3 but kept causing system to crash)

HP Pavilion
AMD Athlon 64 Processor
3800+
985 MHz, 3.43 GB RAM
