I have tried to install a HP MultiScanner on a computer running Window 2000 operating system. I have AOL which supplies Mcafee Virus Scan. I tried to install and the software gave me a message to close all virus protector and andy open programs I closed McAffee virus scan and continued installing the scanner-Printer and it would not install because it keep giving the error message "McShield.exe has generated errors and will be closing windows. You will need to restart the program and error logg has been reported"

I close down the computer and restart and proceed to close all runing programs and try to install agin and get the same message. Please tell me what I can do to be able to install the all-in-one printer.

I have another computer that is running Windows XP and I try to install it with the same Mcafee runing and it will install the hardware. Why??
