Hi all
I Have an Aspire Netbook with Windows 8 and I have forgotten my admin user password and therefore need to reset it.

The onscreen reset instruction tells me to use a usb flash drive.
I have downloaded Password Rescuer on to the flash drive but when I connect it to my netbook and attempt a reset it is rejected.
There is a message that says ''windows reset wizard needs a password reset disc ''
The netbook has no disc drive to use this option.
I would be grateful if anyone could help with this problem.
Thanks

If you have a install DVD,
see here: Reset a Windows 8 Password without using any third party software

If you DO NOT have a install DVD, see here:How to Reset Your Windows Password Without an Install CD

Thanks ztrucker.
I downloaded the usb flash drive with the password recovery ok.
When I used it to reset my user account password, a message came back with ''this is not a password reset disk''.

I also tried another recommended usb flash drive ''rescue password''' download that came back with the same message.
